Red announces retirement

It did not immediately dawn on me to post this here. Although the site had a recent facelift and reset, I’ve decided to step away from video game writing for now. The Pixels, formerly thewellredmage.com, has been a source of comfort and escape for me for the past 10 years so thank you to everyone who wrote and read here. I had the chance to meet many amazing people and help over 100 writers get their work published. It’s been fun but all things must come to an end.

    I am sorry to hear that you will retire, I have enjoyed this website and liked the community that participated in it. I enjoyed the articles published on this website and how a range of games were reviewed (including retro games and modern games). I also enjoyed participating in some of the challenges (such as the elementals challenge) and reading other people’s contributions. Unfortunately, this website was one of the last blogs that I have read and followed to stop producing content.
