“What’s the best GameCube soundtrack?”

Welcome back to Soundtrack Showdown! I was surprised by last week’s poll, which was for the OG Xbox. Halo didn’t take 1st place, contrary to my expectations, and the winner was in fact the soundtrack for Jet Set Radio Future. Congrats!

Now on with this week’s event!

You can visit the main event page here for more information but in short, we’re looking for nominations from you today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) for the best Nintendo GameCube soundtrack, micro-CDs and all! All nominations received will appear in a poll open from Wednesday through Saturday when you’ll be able to vote for the best GameCube soundtrack. We’ll determine the winner on Sunday!

Reminders

-Nominations can be left in comments on this blog or on Twitter, just tag @thewellredmage and/or use #soundtrackshowdown.

-Please keep it to ONE nomination per person but if your first choice is already taken then feel free to nominate a different soundtrack.

-If you name more than one soundtrack, I’ll have to ruin your day and ask you to choose! 

-We’re looking for exclusives, not ports, within reason. Timed exclusives are ok to mention provided they were originally on the Nintendo GameCube.

GameCube remains a fan favorite, a crowd pleaser between the N64 and the Wii, and I have my expectations and predictions for a winner for this one, but we’ll just have to wait and see what nominations roll in!
