Welcome back to the most disgusting, biased, scandalous, controversial, least objective, sorriest excuse for a litmus test of positive opinion ever! That’s right it’s the Pixel Awards for Game of the Year 2022! This is the third and final stage of our week-long event and what a doozy of a week it’s been. I want to take the time to thank everyone who nominated, voted in, and shared our event. Sincerely, thank you! Sure, some hoes mad their favorite game didn’t win or their nominee of choice wasn’t nominated, but that just makes me grateful for the people who have the perspective to contextualize a fun little community event for what it is.
Each of our 22 nominees deserved their nomination, and many other games that received no nomination would have been welcome, but there’s a good spread of votes across the nominees we are featuring, which again serves to remind me of the sense of diversity in this community. It was a big selection. There can be only one.
Voting is over. It’s time to announce our winner…
RESULTS
AND THE WINNER IS
FromSoftware, Bandai Namco
Congratulations to Elden Ring! I will now give an eloquent and emotional 30-minute speech… Our community has voted it as Game of the Year 2022 at The Pixels! Congrats also to our second-place winners, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, who split the vote.
Which game did you vote for? Did you expect this outcome? Are you surprised by any of the results?
Thanks again for taking part in our event!
