“What’s the best Nintendo Wii U soundtrack?”
Welcome back to Soundtrack Showdown! After taking a break for a week, it’s time to get back into the swing of things. Our Wii voting event got intense and it was ultimately decided by the fan equivalent of a landslide. Congratulations to Xenoblade Chronicles for stealing taking the win!
Now on with this week’s event!
You can visit the main event page here for more information but in short, we’re looking for nominations from you today and tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday) for the best Nintendo Wii U soundtrack! All nominations received will appear in a poll open from Wednesday through Saturday when you’ll be able to vote for the best Wii U soundtrack. We’ll determine the winner on Sunday!
Reminders
-Nominations can be left in comments on this blog or on Twitter, just tag @thewellredmage and/or use #soundtrackshowdown.
-Please keep it to ONE nomination per person but if your first choice is already taken then feel free to nominate a different soundtrack.
-If you name more than one soundtrack, I’ll have to ruin your day and ask you to choose!
-We’re looking for exclusives, not ports, within reason. You can mention timed exclusives provided they were originally on the Wii U.
Because of the… unique nature of the Wii U and its place in gaming history, its number of units sold and its quickly emptying library with all those games being ported to Switch, I must remind you that it’s ok to nominate games like Mario 3D World or Pikmin 3, since they first appeared on Wii U, event though they were eventually ported or are going to be ported. Timed exclusives can be mentioned, so long as they were on Wii U first!
Name ONE soundtrack below or on social media! Share tracks. Tell us what team you’re on. Appreciate the artistry behind the music!
