New Super Mario Bros. Wii poetry
by This Guy
A forward from the Author: Hey guys, This Guy here! New Super Mario Bros. Wii is my first ever Mario game, and I beat it with my brother and sister for the first time back when it came out. I was always Mario, my brother Luigi, and my sister Blue Toad. We continued on to play both Mario U and Luigi U, but Wii has always held a special place in my heart, so I chose it to write about on Mar10 Day 2020. Honestly, I really just loved this game, the final boss is amazing, and the multiplayer made my childhood and made me who I am, a huge Nintendo fan! And thanks to The Well-Red Mage to putting this together, it was a ton of fun! Now, on with the poem~
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
makes me want to scream, “Wheee!”
The game is well paced,
everything well placed,
and overall gives me such glee.
This game really is such a blast;
a good mix of present and past.
The levels are fair,
fun to play with a pair.
Now let’s get to the cast.
The Characters
Mario, Luigi, and two Toads,
all of whom deserve their own odes.
Koopas’ down to fight,
Piranha Plants’ looking to bite,
And Bowser, who’s monstrously three-toed.
Every world highlights a boss,
Who waits for Mario to cross.
Some bounce around,
Others ground pound,
And one even has rings to toss!
The Worlds
Now let’s discuss the worlds
Across which you will be hurled:
Cloud, lava, and grassy,
Beach, desert, and ice-y,
A forest and a mountain that swirls!
The grass world is a nice place to start.
It’s not boring, having plenty of heart.
Larry’s fairly fun,
The difficulty is next to none,
And the hint videos are really smart!
The desert is the second place you’ll be,
And trust me, there’s ton’s to see!
Roy’s pipes will get confusing,
The quick sand will have you choosing,
But personally, I think this world is key.
My personal favorites’ the ice!
I find Lemmy kinda nice.
I love the red block switch,
And the first Boo house’s magic!
This world is truly suffice.
Next, a sandy beach locale
where you’ll find quite the canals
Fight Wendy underwater
Find cheep cheeps’ to slaughter
And what’s increased will be your morale.
The forest is where you’ll find yourself next
And the vines make it truly complex
There’s lots of space to romp,
Iggy’s pulled by a chain chomp
Which makes that boss fight truly apex
Morton Jr.’s land is the mountain
With caves so dark you can’t see in
But the airship’s the best,
Putting you to the test,
In clown cars in which you’ll be pinned
After that, the clouds seem relaxing
But trust me, these levels are taxing
Ludwig flutters high
Like a Yoshi, but sly.
Sadly, this game is done waxing…
The final levels are burning bright
The jumps are becoming increasingly tight
Soon Bowser you’ll meet,
But he’ll face defeat,
And the journey ends all right.
