In case you missed it, I recently posted a bunch of words about some plans for 2020 and The Well-Red Mage. You can read that in its terrific totality on Patreon, but part of the huge announcement was concerned with MAGE CAST Season Two. I wanted to zoom in on that part of the announcement and see if we can’t get some audience feedback prior to launching MAGE CAST Season Two in January.
Feedback for the show on Twitter has been exceptional and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to engage with the podcast, ask questions, share memories and comments, and contributed to the conversation.
Over time, I’ve come to find that the show has taken shape thusly: We spend time talking about the context of the games that serve as our subjects; We enlist a diverse range of different guests; We are willing to discuss any game, whether indie, AA, or AAA, retro or modern, iconic or underappreciated, good or bad; We approach criticism with an aim for our subjects’ objective, internal qualities, attempting to avoid blasting a game for its developers’ or fans’ habits; We are long-form.
If you’ve listened to the show, you’ll know that this is generally how it goes.

I have received a lot of questions about what might be different about MAGE CAST Season Two. Well I can tell you that I don’t plan to reinvent the wheel. What I enjoyed about Season One isn’t going away. However, I do have a few ideas that I want to implement.
Mostly, however, I really want to hear from you, the listeners. What do you think about the show? What changes would you want to see (hear)? What are some games you’d like to hear us talk about? Any guest ideas?
Take this survey to provide some feedback!
Obviously, I can’t and won’t try to change the show based on every single bit of feedback. But really what I’m looking for are patterns that emerge from comments from our listeners.
So thank you for taking the time to read this and I’ll see you in January! As needed as this break was, I can’t wait to get back into podcasting again! And don’t forget, if you’re a patron of TWRM, you can see our upcoming episode listings in advance!
