2 min read
Pizza time! Hey, dudes, check out to our biggest episode ever in terms of guest presence, featuring the Beer Mage (@Retrogamebrews), the ABXY Mage (@ABXY_Reviews), and the Hyperactive Coffee Mage (@GameswCoffee). Listen as we chat about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time and go on about psychoanalyzing Twitter, which of us is Leo, Don, Raph, and dying on the hill of Michelangelo, the game’s pros and cons, its expression of the differences between the turtles, how to get the most points for a high score, our favorite villains and time periods, voice acting in the original 1987 cartoon (Liquid Snake?!), nostalgia-talk about the 80’s, what kind of game we would make if we could create our own TMNT game, finally laying the Turtle Van to rest, Teenage Mutant “Hero” Turtles, and asking how much a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle weighs.

Good stuff there guys – really enjoyed a discussion of Turtles in Time and then expanded to all things TMNT. Your close out with the theme song (a cappella, no less) was killer!
I had to weigh in that my favorite turtle was and still is Donatello, but I’ve warmed on Raph over the years. Favorite boss fight is Metalhead, just because there’s something very satisfying about clunking my bo staff over his metallic carapace.
I’ve been reading the IDW TMNT ongoing monthly comic series since in came out in 2011, and it is really quite good, with some series moments of drama. I highly recommend getting the hardcover collections that are out there. And check out the TMNT-Ghostbusters cross-over as well!
TMNT-Ghostbusters crossover sounds so amazing 🙂
