Hellooooo Non-Playable Characters!
I’m super grateful to each of you who have supported us, written for us, commented, read our articles, and tagged us! We’ve now reached 2000 followers on Twitter. I thank you sincerely.
I thought extensively about what to do to make an event out of it (you know we love events around here) and I know I didn’t want to just do a giveaway or another big list. I decided to do BOTH!
So this is about to go down… our Seven Top Sevens Giveaway!
RULES
I’m creating a post each day for one week. Each post will feature a Top 7 list. That’s 7 Top 7 lists for the next 7 days, got it?
I’m inviting everyone to guess what my number #1 pick will be for each Top 7 list. The person who has guessed the most #1’s correctly by the end of this series of sevens will receive an electronically delivered $2000 $20 Amazon gift card! Anyone and everyone may participate!
I’ll let you know what tomorrow’s list will be at the end of each post and ask you to guess my #1 pick for that list in the comments below. This is important: I will only be accepting guesses in the comments section at the end of each Top 7 post. I won’t accept PMs, DMs, emails, Discord messages, or tweets. You have to comment your guess below and be sure to include your name/username. Don’t leave the comment anonymous.
If multiple people guess the same amount of #1’s then we’ll go to tie-breaker top 7 listicles and extend the event!
Each person is allowed just one guess! If you attempt multiple guesses, I’ll only accept the first guess you list.
Please only comment your guesses for the next day’s Top 7 post! Don’t comment all of your guesses for the entire week at once!
THE LISTS
These are the 7 lists I’ve created and they’ll run from the first list posted tomorrow, Thursday, all the way up to next week Wednesday. Any tie-breaker list would post next week Thursday, and so on. The winner will be announced the day following the final Top 7 post. Also, I will explain each list the day before it’s posted.
Thursday – Top 7 favorite video game composers
Friday – Top 7 favorite developers
Saturday – Top 7 favorite Pokémon
Sunday – Top 7 favorite superhero games
Monday – Top 7 favorite video game towns
Tuesday – Top 7 most controversial posts
Wednesday – Top 7 honorable mentions
I’m in the PST time zone, by the way. Posts generally go up here between 7-9am. You get a whole day to put in your guess before I close the comments section for the next Top 7.
GUESS TOMORROW’S #1
All that’s left is to prompt you to guess tomorrow’s #1 pick! Tomorrow’s Top 7 list will be my 7 favorite video game composers! That’s fairly self-explanatory: it’s got to be someone who is primarily known for scoring, composing, or writing music for use in video games! As much as I love Chopin, and his work has appeared in video games, I’m afraid old Fred simply won’t qualify here.
So let me know who you think my #1 top favorite video game composer is in the comments below! Remember to leave your name or username so I know who you are! Link to your Twitter or blog if you want to. Follow the event on Twitter with #TWRM7top7.
I’ll reveal my Top 7 favorite video game composers in a post on this site tomorrow (Thursday), so come back and discover the truth! OR you can poke around the site and see if you can pick up any clues…
Good luck and happy money-making!

Nobuo Uematsu
I’m gonna guess nabuo uematsu
Alright I’m going to do this one because I’m pretty confident on the answer. It’s whoever did the music to Final Fantasy which is (quick Google search) Nobuo Uematsu.
Where’s my table pointing out that I IN FACT have made more positive comments about Composer X than Y by a factor of .23???
I wouldn’t provide it unless and until you give the “wrong” answer. Otherwise I’m just benefiting everyone else with my exhaustive research.
Also, and this is sad, I already have the source document for this answer ready to go in my head.
This behaviour doesn’t make me more accurate of course, but gosh darn gee it makes me more confident!
Everyone’s guessing Uematsu, so I’m gonna be different and guess Koji Kondo.
Going against the grain. I like it! The spectacle! The drama! Will it pay off? Tune in tomorrow to find out!
Betting with the majority here with Uematsu.
Welp, you’ll find out tomorrow if majority rules or not! 🙂
Nobuo Uematsu or Yasunori Mitsuda. I’ll throw out a guess for Harry Gregson Williams for MGS as well 🙂
pikateychu btw!
Thanks! As per the rules, I’ll be accepting the first guess in your comment! Good luck! 🙂
I have absolutely no idea, but I’m going to enjoy reading the posts all the same!
Aw well that’s cool! 🙂
You don’t want to maybe take a shot in the dark? You never know!
Harry Williams!
I’m going to make a guess that may seem wrong, but then you’ll listen, and maybe change your mind. Jeroen Tel. The man has done wonders on most any platform you can think of.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYQ9zUWVG4o
I LOVE this answer haha! I didn’t anticipate anyone would share music with me to try to change my #1 pick! Amazing!
Nobuo Uematsu.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..
Hmm… I’ve come to the conclusion that the most probable answer is Nobuo Uematsu… BUUUUUT, after doing a bit of a dive in the review archives, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and instead suggest Koji Kondo as my guess for the #1 spot! Final answer!

Going to throw my ring in the hat for David Wise. I’m kind of hoping those three DKC soundtracks on the SNES left an impression on you, and you have called him “legendary” in the past. *crosses fingers*
*Gorilla noises!*
Hirokazu Tanaka – the man behind Earthbound and all around musical super genius!
Hey good guess 😉
🎉🎉🎉
I’ll vote for Nobuo Uematsu.
Thanks for guessing!
Yasunori Mitsuda made some of the best music in videogame existence, including the Chrono Trigger music.
However, he really doesn’t have a lot of super known work after that. Nobuo Uematsu, however, has put out so many legendary tracks that the man is, well, a legend.
BUT I know that Mega Man has some of your favorite music out there, and Mega Man X is one of your favorite OST ever, so I’m going to say Setsuo Yamamoto who was responsible for the majority of the Mega Man X OST.
That is my final answer: Setsuo Yamamoto.
